The 100G Transponder delivers protocol-transparent 100-gig transport with 3R (re-amplify, re-shape, re-time) regeneration and ITU-grid DWDM conversion. Client side uses QSFP28 for 100GbE (and rate-compatible OTN), while the line side employs coherent tunable CFP/CFP2-DCO optics operating on 50/75/100-GHz C-band grids. Integrated OTU4 framing with GFEC/EFEC/SD-FEC extends reach and improves BER across multi-span routes.
Comprehensive diagnostics—DDM, PRBS (e.g., PRBS31), near/far loopback, LOS/LOF alarms, and performance counters—accelerate turn-up and troubleshooting. The card fits HYD 1U/2U/5U platforms and pairs seamlessly with MUX/DEMUX, EDFA/Raman, OLP, OCM/OTDR for end-to-end visibility, protection, and simplified O&M. Management via Web/CLI/SNMP (and Netconf/YANG automation) supports template-based provisioning and multi-vendor integration.
