The 2.5G OEO Amplifier restores signal integrity and converts client wavelengths to ITU-grid DWDM for cost-effective 2.5 Gbps transport. It performs complete 3R regeneration with clock recovery and jitter cleanup to stabilize BER and extend reach on SDH/SONET OC-48/STM-16 and other 2.5G services.
Client side supports SFP (OC-48/STM-16, 2GFC, rate-compatible 2.5GbE/CPRI Opt.3 – model-dependent); line side supports DWDM SFP (fixed or tunable) for C-band operation on 50/100 GHz grids. Built-in diagnostics—DDM, PRBS (e.g., PRBS31), near/far loopback, LOS/LOF alarms—simplify turn-up and troubleshooting, while Web/CLI/SNMP (optional Netconf/YANG) streamlines provisioning. Works seamlessly with HYD optical-layer modules (MUX/DEMUX, EDFA/Raman, OLP, OCM/OTDR) in 1U/2U/5U platforms for metro regeneration, wavelength conversion, and multi-vendor interop.
