Coherent 400G ZR QSFP-DD DCO—OIF 400ZR with optional OpenZR+, LC-duplex C-band DWDM, ~120 km ZR reach, 400GAUI-8 host, CMIS management—built for metro/region DCI.
The 400G ZR QSFP-DD DCO is a coherent pluggable transceiver for point-to-point DCI up to ~120 km on standard single-mode fiber. Integrating a digital coherent DSP (DCO) in the QSFP-DD form factor, it runs in the C-band DWDM ITU grid and presents an 8-lane 400GAUI-8 electrical host. Compliant with OIF 400ZR and supporting (model-dependent) OpenZR+ profiles, it enables simple 400G Ethernet over existing DWDM MUX/DEMUX systems while keeping LC-duplex cabling and low-touch operations.
Standards & Modes: OIF 400ZR; optional OpenZR+ (profiles vary by version); CMIS 4.0+ management
Optics & Modulation: Coherent DP-16QAM (ZR); ZR+ variants may offer QPSK/16QAM for longer reach/ROADM traversal
DWDM Operation: C-band, ITU-T grid (75/100 GHz filter compatibility)
Interface: LC-duplex on OS2 SMF; host 400GAUI-8 (8×53.125G PAM4, KP4 FEC)
Performance: ZR ~120 km typical; extended distance and ROADM support with ZR+ (network/profile dependent)
O&M: In-module SD-FEC, DOM/diagnostics, alarms; PRBS/loopback support (platform-dependent)
Power & Env.: ~16–20 W typical (platform dependent); 0…+70 °C case; Class 1 laser; RoHS/REACH compliant
Typical Applications
400G DCI over dark fiber with EDFA amplification
DWDM point-to-point spans requiring simple LC-duplex cabling
ROADM networks (with ZR+ profiles) needing extra OSNR/link margin
Note: Exact Tx power, OSNR requirements, and ZR+ feature set vary by sub-model. Verify channel plan, filter spacing, attenuation, and link budget against your DWDM design.
