Semi-active CWDM/LWDM/MWDM fronthaul module with optical power monitoring and fast fault localization for 4G/5G C-RAN (CPRI/eCPRI) over single/multi-fiber.
The 5G Fronthaul Semi-Active WDM Module combines passive wavelength multiplexing with low-power supervision to make mobile fronthaul simple, visible, and reliable. Designed for 4G/5G C-RAN back-to-BBU transport, it supports CWDM (up to 18 ch), MWDM (12 ch), and LWDM (6/8 ch) options for 10G/25G CPRI/eCPRI.
An integrated optical monitor provides real-time wavelength/power readouts and alarms, while an OTDR access port enables rapid fault localization without service interruption. Front-access cabling, bend-radius control, and clear labeling ensure clean O&M in space-constrained racks. LC/UPC is standard (SC/APC optional). The module operates from −48 VDC (optional AC) with <15 W typical power, making it ideal for POP/edge sites, street cabinets, and small cell aggregation.
