



Electronically controlled VOA for C-band CWDM/DWDM links—0–30 dB range, ms-level response, low insertion loss/PDL, and closed-loop power control for stable, receiver-safe operation.
The DVOA – Dynamic Variable Optical Attenuator provides precise, remotely managed attenuation to equalize power across spans, protect receivers, and stabilize multi-wavelength systems during adds/moves/changes. With ms-level response and fine step resolution, DVOA enables soft-start ramping at EDFA inputs, per-channel or composite power leveling in ROADM nodes, and loss emulation during commissioning.
Closed-loop modes maintain target output under traffic changes using integrated feedback or external OLPM/OCM telemetry. The module fits HYD 1U/2U/5U platforms (hot-swappable card) or a 1U stand-alone unit and integrates via Web/CLI/SNMP and Netconf/YANG for automated workflows.
Attenuation range: 0–30 dB (others on request); resolution: ≤0.1 dB; high repeatability
