



Fail-safe optical bypass switch for in-line devices—auto-bypass on power loss or LOS with <10 ms switchover. Protocol/bitrate transparent for CWDM/DWDM; LC/SC options; −48 VDC or 1U AC.
Optical Bypass Protection keeps traffic flowing when an in-line network element (e.g., OEO, security probe, monitoring node) loses power or is taken out for maintenance. Installed on the line side, the module monitors optical levels and device power; if a fault is detected, it instantly connects the bypass path to bridge the working fiber end-to-end—maintaining service without truck rolls.
Configurable auto/forced/manual modes, revertive logic, and hysteresis prevent flaps. Low insertion loss, high return loss, and minimal PDL ensure stable multi-wavelength operation in CWDM/DWDM networks from 10G to 400G. The unit fits HYD 1U/2U/5U platforms or is available as a 1U stand-alone device, integrating with NMS/Web/CLI/SNMP (optional Netconf/YANG) and dry-contact alarms for clean O&M.
