MEMS-based optical switch for DWDM/CWDM path selection—1×2/2×1/2×2/1×4/1×8 options with ms-level switching, low insertion loss/PDL, and remote control for protection, test access, and routing.
The OSW – Optical Switch provides fast, reliable optical path switching for metro, DCI, and backbone networks. Using MEMS (or latching electromechanical) technology, it redirects live traffic between fibers without O/E conversion—ideal for protection switching, lab/test matrices, OTDR sharing, or service routing.
The module integrates with HYD 1U/2U/5U platforms or is available as a 1U standalone unit. Operators can command switchover locally or via Web/CLI/SNMP (Netconf/YANG optional), with status LEDs, alarms, and dry-contact relays for easy NMS integration. Low insertion loss, high return loss, and minimal PDL ensure stable multi-wavelength operation across 1260–1650 nm.
